I may or may not have picked up embroidery in part because it doesn’t take up as much space as other hobbies would in my tiny NYC apartment. But it does indeed take up some space! Especially as my thread collection has grown. And while there is almost always something or other strewn across the coffee table or couch, I wanted something a little better for thread storage.

I’m super blessed to have a really great mom, and a really great mother-in-law. So I want to take a moment to give them a shout-out and share this project.

I’m in a period of transition. I recently chose to leave my job without having anything else lined up, and there have been a lot of ups and downs as I look for whatever’s next. The unknown is uncomfortable, but overall I’m glad I made this move. I’ve been reconsidering what I thought was my expected career path—along with other life stuff.
